The Mind Garden Dedicated Therapeutic Counselling and Psychotherapy

Feature image

Hello. My name is Anna and the thing I love most about counselling is the diverse mix of people that I am lucky enough to work with.

No two clients are the same and I feel privileged to be trusted with the inner thoughts and experiences of each and every one of my clients and I take that very seriously. I treat each person respectfully and admire them for the unique individual that they are.

During my time as a therapist, I have helped clients with their understanding and self-awareness of a broad range of issues and experiences. My work has included 8 years as a committee member for Women’s Aid, 2 years working for Mind, the mental health charity and 4 years as a voluntary counsellor at Rape Crisis. I reserve 3 sessions weekly to continue this practice, as I strongly believe that everyone who needs it should have ongoing access to counselling regardless of finance. My work includes one day a week at a secondary school counselling 11-18 year old pupils.

I have a range of client experience in different areas including, but not limited to:

Eating disorders
Obsessive compulsive disorder
Alcohol and drug misuse
Physical trauma
Sports injury
Rape and physical abuse
Pre-trial therapy
Domestic violence and psychological control
Child separation
Self-destructive tendencies
Bipolar disorder
Career progression
Suicidal ideation
Low self esteem

I am a fully qualified BACP registered therapist. I am a member of the BACP and am governed by their ethical framework. I have a full DBS check and professional indemnity insurance.

“We will make each client the primary focus of our attention and our work during our sessions together" - BACP Ethical Framework
